Our organization, Mafu o.z, values your privacy and we strive to protect the personal information you provide to us. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how we collect, use, protect and disclose your personal information.

How we collect your personal data

We collect personal data directly from you.

We collect personal data that you provide to us through a form on our website that you fill in when applying for material assistance or when applying for material assistance (hereinafter referred to as the donation form). The data we collect includes: email, name and surname, telephone number. In the case of an application for maternity assistance, also the number of family members, their age and gender, address in Slovakia and social networking contacts.

We also collect personal data information about you from records of phone calls or other interactions with you, such as through email, chat, SMS messages or social media communications.

Our organization focuses primarily on helping people fleeing the war in Ukraine with temporary shelter in the Slovak Republic. Therefore, our volunteers can request a confirmation of the grant/extension of tolerated stay in the Slovak Republic before processing the application.

For what purpose do we process your personal data?

We use your personal data to process your application for material assistance. We will create an advertisement from your request and search for a suitable donor of material aid. Once a donor has been selected, we only share the applicant's contact details with the selected material assistance donor and you will be notified of this sharing before it happens once a donor has been selected. We also use them to evaluate demographic data and to improve our services.

We use your personal data when processing the Donation Form.

If you have provided consent for marketing purposes, we process your personal data for the following activities:

  • product and service offerings. Based on your consent, we may provide you with offers in electronic form, in particular by email messages or messages sent to mobile devices via a telephone number, via a web-based client area, in writing or by telephone call,

  • automated processing of personal data in order to tailor business offers to your individual needs,

  • market research and customer satisfaction surveys on the products and services you use,

Consent provided for marketing purposes is voluntary. However, it is necessary in order for us to be able to send you individual offers of products and services and our business partners. We cannot provide you with individual product and service offers without such consent.

What legal basis do we enjoy?

  • legal obligation e.g. for the issue and archiving of accounting documents,

  • provision of assistance e.g. for the supply of goods and services,

  • legitimate interest e.g. to inform customers about its related products and services, their innovations or features, to provide them with technical support and professional training,

  • consent for sending information e.g. to potential product candidates,

  • when registering for competitions or events.

Data protection measures

We understand the importance of protecting your personal data and therefore take all necessary measures to protect this data from unauthorised access. We use encryption and access rules to protect your data from unauthorized access.

Your rights

You have the right of access to your personal data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure and the right to restriction of processing. Who do we provide your data to?

In order to ensure the proper functioning of the association and to provide you with quality services, other entities have access to your personal data. These include, in particular, mail carriers, an accounting company, an auditing company and other authorised entities that provide services to us and with whom we have entered into a fair data processing agreement in order to protect you. Personal data will not be transferred to a third country (i.e. outside the EU).

Retention period

Your personal data will be retained for 5 years from the date of grant or until you revoke it.

After the relevant time, your personal data will be deleted, but only to the extent and for the purposes for which consent is not required by law, namely: we keep your accounting documents for 10 years; after the termination of your contract or obligations arising from or related to it, we keep your data for the period required and specified in the relevant legislation and, furthermore, according to the general statute of limitations.

Changes to these conditions

We may change these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page and will be effective immediately upon posting.
